The center is situated in a historic building in the Oregon District, which has been revitalized into a community gathering space. The gym provides opportunities for bouldering, which involves shorter climbs close to the ground and does not require ropes or a partner. For those interested in rope climbing, a belay certification is required for individuals over 14 years old, with options to test out for experienced climbers. Instruction is available, including classes on introduction to rock climbing, rappelling, and sport climbing. Urban Krag features 10,000 square feet of textured and sculpted vertical terrain, with wall heights ranging from 28 to 56 feet. It also includes an inclined bouldering wall. The facility does not offer staff belaying services but encourages a community atmosphere where climbers can assist each other. The climbing center welcomes individuals aged four and up. Climbers 13 years or younger must be accompanied by a belay-certified adult. First-time visitors who complete a belay certification on the same day they climb may receive a free week membership.
